The Shoreline Pet Lodge offers both indoor and outdoor group play areas for dogs. Your dog will be evaluated and recommended to play and/or exercise with other dogs that are of similar size, temperament, and play-style. We have two outside exercise areas where your dog can enjoy playing tag with friends, climbing on agility equipment, or resting under the shade provided by one of our large oak trees. See what makes the Shoreline Pet Lodge a unique place for doggie day care by viewing our beautifully landscaped and groomed property in a country-like setting. Our indoor play area is also heated and air-conditioned to provide a comfortable play environment during the various seasons.
Orientation Day For Dog Day Care (Required for first-time dogs)
Orientation Day is a half or full day of care that lets your dog gradually acclimate to Group Play at Shoreline Pet Lodge. After starting the day in a private suite, your pet will receive a one-to-one assessment with one of our trained professionals to determine his or her comfort level with our staff, evaluate social skills, and play style, and will then be introduced to the other dogs gradually to avoid overstimulation and make sure that the group setting is the right fit.
If we find out that the group play setting is not exactly the right fit for your dog, or there are behavior issues that you would like to work on, we do have other options.

Dog Group Play Activities
Our Branford, CT program utilizes several different activities each day to add structure to the program, stimulate your dog, and make the day more exciting mentally and physically. The activities include:

Requirements For Doggie Day Care / Dog Group Play
We require documentation of the following:
- DA2PP –Distemper
- Rabies
- Bordetella
- Negative Fecal Exam- documentation provided every 6 months.
- Monthly Flea Prevention
Pets must healthy. They may not use our services with signs of a cough, discharge from eyes or nose, vomiting, diarrhea, or other signs of illness.
Pets over 6 months old must be spayed or neutered.
General Information for Dog Group Play:
Please bring a meal if your pet needs to eat during the day. Breakfast and dinner should be fed at home. Bedding and toys from home are not permitted. We recommend that your dog attend at least once a week to get accustomed to the environment and to be properly socialized. Reservations for group play are preferred but not necessary.

Days and Hours:
Doggie Day Care / Dog Group Play is available Monday through Friday 7:00 am- 6:00pm. We close from noon until 2:00 pm for naptime. Half-day dogs must be picked up by noon or it is considered a full day.
Our boarding dogs may participate in group play during the course of their stay. This is available to them seven days a week. Boarding dogs pay $39.00 per night which includes day care.
