It’s Hard To Teach An Old Dog New Tricks

Whoever said it was hard to teach old dogs new tricks was right, at least that was my experience this morning when Dennis and I were attempting to add photos to our new website. We love our new website which was designed by Margaret’s Folly, LLC in Guilford, CT. We were trying to practice the lesson that Margaret taught us yesterday. Let’s just say that we almost had it but we had to ask the advice of our daughter Courtney who has not one but two Masters degrees and in trying to assist her aging parents, she erased one page of the website. However, Margaret is but a phone call away and solves the problem. Rather than being a large corporation, Margaret Tehan of Margaret’s Folly is an actual person who answers the phone and offers personal customer service. This is a wonderful change from dealing with our previous web design firm… that large conglomerate that sells phone service, phone books, internet advertising… hint, hint.

Construction-update on our dog kennel: John and his son from Star Foundations removed the forms today and our foundation is in and looking good. Jim Boyd, the excavator, will be here tomorrow to backfill and grade. These guys were great; they even worked on Thanksgiving Day and for that we were grateful. Matt from M.N. Reale Construction will be hammering away soon!

There is excitement in the air and it is not just because of the holidays. Our customers are seeing the new addition of our indoor dog group play/dog socialization area. Dogs coming for dog day care will play there and dogs boarding overnight in our Branford kennel can access the doggie day care services while boarding during the day. Puppies, small dogs, and large dogs will all be kept in separate play groups. We will also have a large outdoor exercise area to be used not only for Doggie Daycare but for Dog Training as well.

Speaking of the holidays, if any of your relatives are visiting you along the Connecticut shoreline, or are on their way to Rhode Island or perhaps New York, and they’re bringing their pets with them, remember that we have convenient drop off and pick up hours, and that we are conveniently located off of I-95, in Branford, CT with close proximity to towns between New Haven and Clinton.

Off to buy our Christmas tree!
